WHITE MARSH – In an effort to provide educational opportunities to underserved high school students, Strategic Education, Inc. has announced that it will host a no-cost Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp in White Marsh this fall.
The boot camp aims to introduce students in grades nine to twelve to fundamental AI concepts and skills.
The boot camp will occur over four consecutive Saturdays, commencing on October 14th and concluding on November 4th. Participants who are accepted must commit to attending all four sessions, which will run from 2-6 p.m. ET.
Applications for students and parents are now open at markcubanai.org/seipr, and prior experience in computer science, programming, or robotics is optional for eligibility.
Throughout the boot camp, students will explore various aspects of AI, understanding its definition, practical applications in their daily lives (such as TikTok recommendations, smart home assistants, facial recognition, and self-driving cars), and ethical considerations.
Students will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts and receive guidance from corporate mentor instructors who possess a deep understanding of the curriculum, usually taught at the collegiate level. The boot camp curriculum will cover topics including Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI, empowering students to build their own AI applications using open-source tools like Chat GPT.
The Mark Cuban Foundation is pivotal in providing curriculum materials, training corporate volunteer mentors, and selecting local students to participate in the boot camp. Additionally, in collaboration with Strategic Education, Inc., the foundation will ensure that students have access to food, transportation information, and laptops during the duration of the program.
The AI boot camp initiative, launched by Mark Cuban in 2019, has made a significant impact by providing similar opportunities to students in various cities across the United States, including Dallas, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Atlantic City. To date, the Mark Cuban Foundation has influenced over 900 students, with plans to increase this number annually.
Interested students are encouraged to apply for the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp before Friday, September 8th, 2023, through markcubanai.org/seipr. For further details on camp locations and additional information about the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamps, please visit markcubanai.org/faq.

Alsobrooks is a worse radical than Johnny Equity. These people are destroying Maryland and the country. Look around.
Looking at the list of contenders should get parents leery and involved. 2 candidates are from Mississippi schools.
